Today didn't get off to a good start... I went to bed
at about 4 am, then was woken two hours later by hailstones. They were so
heavy and loud that I wondered if they might crack the windows!
Of course they didn't, but I couldn't get back to sleep. I got up, felt
dreadful and ended up going back to bed at 10am for a couple of hours. However,
I had the most hideous nightmare about a motorcycle crash!
The kind of disturbing nightmare that stays with you for hours after you wake
up. So, it wasn't until this evening that I began to feel back to my normal happy
self.
I forgot to bring green chillies with me, which I need for my favourite curry.
I have forgotten several 'essentials' this visit.
This is the snow outside the back door. The webcam missed me hurrying out to the
bin and back! It has been snowing lightly at intervals throughout the day and
more heavily this evening. We only have about three inches so far.
I got these hand-painted wooden fridge magnets at Covent Garden when I was working
down in London in 1992 and my mum came to visit.
